Olive Oil Tasting - Wish I Could Bring it All Home

Oh my, the olive oil here is so delicious.  As many varieties as wine... well not really but there are so many.  Some are grassy, some spicy, some very mild.  We learned how to taste the oils.  First warm the glass in your hands, then smell.  Then taste on your tongue, swish and swallow to feel how it goes down your throat.  You do get different sensations at every step.

After the oil, we had what we would call paella, but since it's not exactly in the Valencia style, they called it rice with vegetables, and rice with meat.  We learned that in Valencia, paella is a Sunday dish and always made by the men in the family.
